WHAT WE DO
We support clients to clarify what they want to achieve and create practical strategies to get there.

When you want to drive a change to a place, space or organisation to do better for people and the planet, we’re here to support you. That includes the big picture visioning but also the boring details - systems, processes, governance - that will determine whether you achieve your vision.
Our core services are listed below. This list is not exhaustive; if you're looking for something bespoke that's not listed here, please contact us.

A strong strategy starts with a clear evidence base and a compelling case for change. Polygon can provide research and thought leadership that drives informed decision-making and positions organizations at the forefront of industry conversations. Drawing on Elizabeth’s extensive research background—which includes writing, editing, and commissioning over 50 papers and reports—we work with clients to develop high-quality research outputs, from internal working papers to influential think tank reports. With access to an extensive network of researchers and writers across the sector, we assemble bespoke teams tailored to each project, ensuring depth, credibility, and impact in every piece of work.

We specialise in the built environment sector.
Doing good strategy requires an in-depth understanding of how our sector works; you need advice from people with the expertise and credibility to challenge the experts. We know the challenges you face: long timescales, multiple stakeholders with competing objectives, public and political scrutiny and more.
We focus on unlocking delivery.
Our approach focuses on helping you navigate the space between setting ambitious objectives and getting them delivered on the ground. We work with you to put in place the tools, processes and skills you need to deliver on what you set out to achieve. We don’t do shiny documents, weighty reports or complex diagrams, just practical advice in plain language.
We don’t use strategy jargon.
We bring analytical rigor, deep expertise in cities and the built environment, and a passion for clear, effective communication. We know our stuff—and we believe in making complex ideas accessible, not overcomplicating them with jargon.
